Q: What regulatory programs do you
provide testing for?
A: PDC Laboratories routinely provides services in support
of NPDES, SDWA, CWA, RCRA, IL SRP, IL TACO, MO RBCA and
others.

Q: Do you test private well water? How do I know if my water is safe to drink?
A: Yes, PDC Laboratories, in Peoria, Ill., routinely tests private wells for
property transactions. Typical testing for private wells
includes total coliform bacteria, nitrate and lead as
required by lending institutions. Other testing is available
up to and including most EPA required parameters for public
water supplies. The tests we perform establish whether
your water source meets government established limits
for that test parameter. For a list of drinking water

Q: Do you test for asbestos?
A: PDC Laboratories can screen samples to determine if they
are ACM (asbestos containing materials) but we do not
have NVLAP or AIHA accreditation for this testing.

Q: Do you provide sample collection services?
A: Yes. While most samples are collected by the client, PDC
Laboratories does provide sample collection services for
groundwater monitoring programs, waste profiling programs
and wastewater monitoring. Contact a project manager for
more details.

Q: How should I get my samples to
your lab?
A: PDC routinely receives samples from most common courier
services, such as UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, USPS, etc. Samples
may also be hand delivered during normal business hours.
We can provide courier services in select locations.

Q: What hours are you open?
A: Our routine business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday
through Friday. A limited number of our staff is here
on evenings and on weekends. Contact your project manager
to coordinate delivery and reporting during non-routine
hours.

Q: Do you receive samples on Saturdays?
A: Yes, the receiving department at PDC Laboratories, in Peoria, Ill., routinely accepts samples
on Saturday mornings, but in most cases, we will not begin
processing the samples until the following Monday. Be
sure to specify Saturday delivery options when using overnight
carriers.

Q: How long does it take to get
testing done?
A: Some procedures, such as bacterial analysis, are completed
within a day or two, while other procedures can take several
weeks to complete. Our typical turnaround time is ten
working days. Contact us for specific applications. Expedited
turnaround may be available at surcharged rates.
Q: How much will my testing cost?
A: Your cost will depend upon a variety of factors, including
sample matrix, volume of work, turnaround time and methods
required. Per test fees usually range from $5 to $35
and can be as high as $1,000 depending upon the method
required.

Q: Do you test for mold in homes?
A: No, we do not, but we can refer you to labs that offer
these services.

Q: Do you offer food/nutritional
testing?
A: No, we do not, but we can refer you to labs that offer
these services.

Q: Do you offer drug testing?
A: No, we do not.
